Default N/E Keep Your Minions Alive Indefinitely

I've found a build that I've been using that can allow you to keep your minions, no matter how many, alive indefinitely. The only cons to this build however is that you'll need at least one person to make the first kill. Beyond the first kill you can build an army and maintain all on your own. The build is as follows:

-Blood Renewal
-Glyph of Restoration
-Blood of the Master
-Glyph of Lesser Energy
-Animate Shambling Horror
-Animate Bone Horror
-Animate Bone Minions
-Well of Blood

After you create your minions the most important spells are Blood Renewal, Glyph of Restoration, and Blood of the Master. If you do them in the order listed above you can maintain a health regeneration as you heal your minions at most 3 times before Blood Renewal ends. When it does you gain all your health back. Glyph of Restoration, when used in conjunction with Blood Renewal, and Blood of the Master, gives you an extra buffer of health while you use these spells. It takes time as you move but if you do it correctly and the timing is just right you can maintain your minions through the most vicious fights, all of them.

It seems at first that you're doing more damage to yourself as you begin these three spells but it all evens out in the end. The best part about these three spells is that if you time them right they all end together so you never wait for a reload time. As you finish your last minion heal your glyph and blood renewal should be just finishing their recharge. The type of minions you want is subjective however I recommend using the Glyph of Lesser Energy so you're not caught using a high energy cost minion. Well of Blood can allow you to get in that extra heal if you find yourself overwhelmed.

This works perfectly. The timing, charge, energy usage, and overall outcome are perfect. I never lose health, and neither do my minions. I can maintain 8 indefinitely even during large fights. My minion set ups are usually:

6 Bone Minions, 2 Bone Horrors, and 2 Shambling Horrors. You can substitute the Shambling Horrors with Fiends or vice versa with any minion.

Please give any feedback to this build.

I never understood why you'd want to keep -10 degening minions alive instead of just using the same amount of energy to make new ones... but he-heyyyy, if that's your style than this build ROX.

I guess this would really well in areas with very limited corpses. Once you get 8, just keep em.

You're right Gift3d you can just make a new one. although I'd rather keep a fiend alive rather than making a new one every time i meet a group of enemies. You can now maintain high energy cost minions instead of having to use large amounts of energy just to bring back a minion that died just as you came upon a large group of enemies. The thing about this build is that you can keep churning out minions and healing them at the same time. You may lose one or two but as long as there's a dead body you can keep any amount of minions you have alive. This also uses a very effective healing spells but essentially voids any negative effects from them.

Your build does very inefficiently what any number of good builds already do.
Read this thread to improve your understanding of what it takes to maintain minions.

ehh i'd rather stick to simply refreshing my minions. it saves more time rather than having to constantly stop just to heal. for example... an MM with your build will take 20 minutes to finish something that i could do in 10 with my mm build. i prefer speed > procrastinated (sp?) missions anyday. ^^

lol don't be ashamed, heroes are known to be play MM better than people. Anyways i hve to agree that refreshing minions is much more effective than keeping the same ones alive.

Heroes are known to play better MMs than people who can't play MMs.

I kinda agree, it's pretty boring to play, but there is a magnificient difference between a hero and a human player who knows how to play an MM correctly.

OoU can be run on a hero but much more effectively by a good human player. I used an AoTL MM build to complete that Moon Fortress mission (Elona) HM... because at a couple points I needed to be able to tank. Worked just fine and I couldn't have done it with a hero without microing it.

hehe heros play mms better than people. hmmm well I got to say thats in general true, cause most people suck at it. they grasp the idea, but add so many stupid skills in there they are inefective as a MM. your a meat shield a walking dead army for the foe to waste time on killing instead of your human players. no other use IS there for a MM. main job, raise 10 minnions, keep them alive to the next fight, when fight starts, spam raising more, replace the oldest ones and get new army, heal them while fighting to make the tanks hack on them some more. my opinions Masters is the best for MM for hero, olias is good but he is set for curses. Liva is def Blood. and she is damn hot for a necro hehe.

i dont run golem, i would rather keep myself alive, still to many monks will let the MM die, bad for team. so count on YOU keeping yourself alive, run aura of lich, infusse condition, dark bond, blod of master healing breeze and all the minnions you can fit, think 3. yo take no damage, and if do the +7 regen covers it up, then just sit back for 40 seconds and make ne pets, those 3 enchants run for 30-50 seconds so frees up your energy to raise rasie rasie.

I've seen a nasty necromancer steal all my minions once with Vareta's-Minion-Stealer-Skill. Might want to er... defend against these situations?

But the above mainly only happens in AB, so you should be fine .
